SOURCES: RB Kenny McIntosh Unlikely to Play in Georgia’s Game at Missouri

Sources tell Dawgs Central that running back Kenny McIntosh is likely to miss UGA’s upcoming game against Missouri. At this time it is believed McIntosh will only miss one game. McIntosh left UGA’s game against Kent State last weekend after taking a hit to the thigh on a carry in the fourth quarter. Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart told reporters this week that McIntosh had already been dealing with a bruise in the same spot he was hit.  The senior’s 227 receiving yards is tied for second on the

UGA WR AD Mitchell Expected to Miss South Carolina Game

Sources have told Dawgs Central that  UGA receiver AD Mitchell is expected to miss the South Carolina game after suffering a high ankle sprain in the first quarter of UGA’s 33-0 win over Samford in Sanford Stadium on Saturday. Mitchell had 29 catches for 426 yards and 4 TD’s in 2021, including the go-ahead touchdown in Georgia’s win over Alabama in the CFP National Championship.  A timetable for Mitchell’s return is not yet known. The X’s & O’s There’s obviously plenty of excitement around UGA’s tight-end room as the 2022 season draws closer. As far as preseason hype goes, the buzz around Georgia’s group of TE’s is well justified.  First off, Georgia already uses A LOT of 12 Personnel (2 tight end) sets. People have asked me all offseason how UGA is going to use all of these tight ends. The reality is that Monken laid a pretty good blueprint in 2021, but far fewer eyes were watching Georgia’s tight ends.

UGA WR Arian Smith Needs Surgery on Ankle, Will Miss Remainder of Fall Camp

Sources have told DawgsCentral that Georgia wideout Arian Smith will need surgery after injuring his ankle while participating in a drill during Georgia’s practice on Thursday. Smith is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of UGA’s fall camp. 1. Who will play Guard? The largest weakness on Georgia’s 2021 offense was its Guard play. The inconsistency from Warren Ericson and Justin Shaffer created dozens of busted plays and caused UGA’s rushing offense to stall on many series throughout the season.
