Georgia Basketball Drops Season Opener to Oregon 82-71

Mike White and the Georgia Bulldogs returned to the hardwood today for their season opener against Oregon. Let's recap the game. The Bulldogs opened this game very sloppy. The team was taking good shots, but they weren't finding the bottom of the net. They started the game 3/17 from the field and found themselves down 17 points. Georgia found some rhythm mid-way through the half and was able to claw themselves back into the game. Jabri Abdur-Rahim and Blue Cain led the comeback for the Dawg

Mike White and the Georgia Bulldogs make their return to the hardwood tonight with a game against Oregon in Las Vegas. COMMIT: 2025 4-Star Jacob Wilkins Commits to UGA

Jacob Wilkins follows in the footsteps of his father, UGA great Dominique Wilkins, and commits to the Dawgs.  The 6'8" and 170-pound small forward committed to Mike White and the Georgia Bulldogs over Virginia. He's rated as the 3rd player in Georgia and the 16th nationally ranked player for 2025. Mike White is establishing UGA as a threat in college basketball as they gain the commitment of 5-star Asa Newell.  Newell is a 6'9" and 205-pound power forward for Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida. Fran Brown is back at it again. This time, he gets 2024 4-star CB Ondre Evans to flip to Georgia.  Evans is a 6'1" and 185-pound corner for Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. He's ranked as the 15th corner in the class and 152nd overall player in the 2024 class. As a junior, he played both ways. He totaled 38 tackles, 5 pass breakups, and 2 interceptions.
