Another Commit for the Dawgs!

This summer has been smoking hot for The University of Georgia. The Dawgs saw hundreds of prospects from across the country make their way to Athens in the month of June. Kirby Smart and company have also seen multiple commits in multiple classes since the start of the summer. Many were planned, but a couple of the commits were somwhat of a surprise.

The latest commit for Georgia fits every description mentioned above. He visited in June, he's now committed in July, and his commitment is a surprise to most fans. The main reason for this is because Jabree Coleman is a class of 2025 recruit. This is early, as many top programs don't have a commit in the class of 2024 yet. If I'm UGA running backs coach Dell McGee, I continue to recruit him (and every other commit) like he's still uncommitted. I have no doubt the ace recruiter for Kirby Smart will do just that.

On to the player! Coleman is already a beast in his 6'0 205 pound frame. He's hails from the same city as another elite running back from RB-U that you may have heard of................D'Andre Swift. While he's not from the same high school in the City of Brotherly Love, Swift is a major influence in his life. He actually attends Tykee Smith's alma mater, powerhouse program Imhotep High School. As a freshman, he ran the ball for just under 400 yards at over 10 yards per carry. It's not a stretch to think he'll break the 1000 yard mark as a sophomore.

While there is obviously a long way to go in his recruitment, it's going to be hard to pull Coleman away from UGA. This is where he's always wanted to play and he does have family in the Atlanta area. It will be very interesting to see how he progresses, especially physically. It's not a stretch to think he'll end up with around a 6'2 215 pound frame. If he does, WATCH OUT!
