The University of Georgia has flipped their second commit away from the Florida Gators, as this time they snag 4-star DL Nasir Johnson.

Johnson is a 6'5" and 300-pound defensive lineman out of Dublin, Georgia. He's rated as the 208th overall prospect in the 2024 recruiting cycle. As a junior, he played both ways for Dublin. On offense, he lined up at right tackle, and on defense, he lined up on the interior DL. He also does some field events in track, placing 4th in shotput and 5th in discus.

He committed to the Gators following an OV over the summer but flipped his commitment to the Dawgs after visiting this past weekend. Johnson is the 6th defensive lineman to verbally commit to UGA, as he joins 4-stars Joseph Jonah-Ajonye, Jordan Thomas, Justin Greene, and 3-stars Quintavious Johnson and Nnamdi Ogboko. Johnson is also the second player that Georgia has flipped from Florida in the 2024 cycle, with the other being 4-star running back Chauncey Bowens.

Johnson is the 28th commitment in Georgia's #1 ranked recruiting class. The Bulldogs now have 15 commits on offense, 12 on defense, and one on special teams. With coaches around the league starting to get fired, flip season is in full effect.

Stay tuned to DawgsCentral for all things UGA Athletics.
