Glenn Schuman stays hot on the recruiting trail as he snags the commitment of 2024 4-star Kristopher Jones. 

Jones is a 6'2", 220-pound linebacker for Fairfax High School in Fairfax, Virginia. He's ranked as the 9th linebacker and the 133rd overall prospect in the country. In 2021, he had a fantastic season, totaling 142 tackles, 26 TFLs, 10 sacks, and an interception. He's been timed with a 4.5 in the 40-yard dash. He's a two-way player for his high school in Fairfax as he also gets some snaps at running back. 

He chose the Dawgs over Florida and Michigan State. Linebacker has been a big topic in the last week for the Georgia Bulldogs. 5-star Justin Williams committed on July 24th, then 4-star Demarcus Reddick flipped his commitment from UGA to Auburn on the 26th. 4-star Chris Cole is the top remaining linebacker target that the Bulldogs are still going after. 

With the addition of Jones, Georgia now has 26 commitments in the class, with 15 on offense, 10 on defense, and one special teamer. UGA's lead for the #1 recruiting class continues to grow over the rest of the country and could grow more over the coming weeks. 5-star Saftey KJ Bolden announces August 5th, 4-star running back Nate Frazier on August 6th, and 5-star DL Williams Nawneri announces his commitment on August 7th.
