LBU is back at it again, gaining the commitment of 2024 5-star linebacker Justin Williams.

Justin is a 6'2", 210-pound linebacker who plays for Oak Ridge High School in Conroe, Texas. William is rated as the #1 linebacker, the #3 player in Texas, and the #11 player overall in the class. He's an outstanding athlete with a time of 4.5 in the 40-yard dash. He also has times of 11.01 in the 100 meters and 23.04 in the 200 meters. Justin also had a high jump of 5'8" and a long jump of 21'3". In the 2022 season, he totaled 105 tackles, 18 TFLs, and 8.5 sacks. Williams was awarded the Texas District 13-6A Defensive Player of the Year as a junior.

He chose the red and black over Oregon, Texas, and Alabama. With a rating of .9952, Justin is the highest-rated linebacker prospect to ever commit to the University of Georgia. He ranks over UGA greats Nakobe Dean (.9907) and Roquan Smith (.9769). Justin is a high school teammate of newly committed 4-star DL Joseph Jonah-Ajonye. Coach Schumann continues to show why he is the best linebackers coach in the country. Since the 2021 recruiting cycle, Schumann has had a 5-star LB prospect commit in every class. Those players include Smael Mondon, Jalon Walker, Raylen Wilson, and Justin Williams. Georgia currently has 2 linebackers committed in the class, but Demarcus Reddick will most likely flip to Auburn or Alabama on Wednesday.

After the commitment of Williams, Georgia now has 26 recruits committed in the 2024 recruiting cycle. The lead of Georgia's #1 class continues to grow and grow over the rest of college football. They now have 13 commits on offense, 13 on defense, and one on special teams.

Stay tuned to DawgsCentral for all things UGA Athletics.
