Recruiting couldn't be going much better for the defending national champions. The Georgia Bulldogs have the No. 2 class in the nation this cycle and have as many as 179 top targets planning to visit for the historic matchup with the Tennessee Volunteers tomorrow. Kirby Smart and company also had the No. 2 class in 2024 until about 30 minutes ago.

Now it is the No. 1 class in the nation after four star linebakcer Demarcus Riddick announced his decision to Commit to the G. Riddick is the 43rd ranked player in the nation overall and the second ranked linebacker in the nation. He is the first defensive commit for UGA in the 2024 and is the second highest ranked prospect among our six commits, with only tight end Landen Thomas ranked higher.

Georgia offered the Alabama native on July 31st of last year and made him a top priority since that time. He committed to the Dawgs over Oklahoma and Tennessee among others and had offers from top schools from across the nation.

Riddick has been a do-it-all type player for Chilton County in Clanton, Alabama. In his junior highlights linked below you'll see him mainly play inside linebacker but also rush from the edge on obvious passing downs. He's on kickoff and has returned multiple punts for touchdowns in his 6'2 215 pound frame. Georgia is recruiting him to play inside and he has the upside to be the next big time linebacker to roam the field for the Dawgs.

Seems like defensive players know where to go, getting the teaching and reliability in UGA. Riddick is not only a great player, but classy kid. Good leader at LB for the Dawgs.
