Weekly Recruiting Preview - Commit Watch

And there it is..........................just when the dead period is over and we're having fun again with recruits on campus, another dead period starts for the month of August. That doesn't mean recruiting stops though; it never rests.

Kirby Smart and company just had a ton of 2023 and 2024 prospects on campus for their 'Dawg Days of Summer' event. That's the last chance the guys had to visit before it's time for Gameday visits. While there won't be any recruits on campus, there will still be plenty to follow. There are plenty of uncommitted prospect left who will be committing and releasing top teams before their high school season starts.

One such prospect is Connor Lew, an in-state target from Kennesaw Mountain High in Acworth. Lew is one of the best true centers in the class. He will be making his decision this Friday on the 5th. He has a top 4 of Auburn, Clemson, UGA, and Miami, but this looks to be down to the Dawgs and our little brother to the west. While he's a 4* recruit, he's also an intelligent young man. That's where Auburn comes in, as he has very high interest in their flight school. The Tigers have been more consistent in his recruitment, but the Dawgs have come on strong the past couple of months. I'm leaning towards Auburn being the pick right now, but will put in an "Official Dawgs Central Prediction" on Wednesday.

Hunter Osborne is committing today. It's not very relevent to UGA, but he is a recruit we had contact with previously. Clemson and Tennessee have been heavily involved, but Alabama seems to have the momentum at the end for their in-state prospect.

In addition to an official prediction on Connor Lew, we'll also have another prediction or two go out! We'll also change the weekly schedule up this week. Normally the "Recruiting Review goes out on Saturdays, but I'm going to put it out Wednesday since it will include the big visit weekend. I'll do the normal Wednesday "2024 Watch List" on Saturday.

Finally, make sure to keep a check on the forum for all of the Auburn created Bo Hughley drama.
