DawgStats: UT Martin

This game, and specifically the low energy and offensive output had Georgia fans in the stands on social media quite concerned.  But, if we needed another reminder of how good things are - Georgia won 48-7.

Georgia wound up with a 47% success rate on offense, and holding UT Martin to 31%. Everything was "ok".  Dawgs rushed  for 5.5 YPC and 48% success rate and had a nice 10.4 YPA and 46% pass success rate. Georgia had just 4% explosive run percentage (rushes over 12 yards). And one of those was Gunner Stockton's 4 quarter rushes. Kendall Milton had 37 yard gain and Roderick Robinson added a 23 yard run, but the most of the ground game was just "ok"

Georgia had 6 pass plays over 25 yards and 2 over 50 with Mews catching and running for a 54 yard TD in the 3rd.  The passing offense managed 46% success rate and 12% explosive play rate (over 20 yards).

The offense took advantage of their scoring opportunities (plays inside opponents 40 yard line) running up 48% success rate, and 11% explosive play rate.

Defensively, UTM did scrounge out a 4.6 YPP, but UGA held them to just 3.3% Explosive Play Rate.  For the game, UTM managed just 31% offensive success rate and under 5.0 YPP rushing and passing. Through the 3rd quarter, the Skyhawks had just a 26% success rate and 4.0 YPP.

What jumped out at me was on 3rd downs, Georgia managed just 2.5 YPP and 46% success rate.  This strikes me as a very vanilla game plan.  UTM held to 0.0% success rate on third down through the 1st 3 quarters.
