Georgia got it’s first big win in a month and getting home wins over UK in back to back seasons for the first time since 89-90.  Terry Roberts logged 23 minutes and scored 9 points to help Georgia off the bench.   Kario Oquendo now has back to back solid games scoring 21 after 19 on Tuesday.

Bridges and Hill joined Kario with Dawgs scoring double digit points. Braelen made so many big plays down the stretch to hold off Kentucky.   Georgia had a 10 point halftime lead that was erased and when the Wildcats took a 4 point lead.

Mike White’s team never gave up making thier free throws, getting rebounds, and making big shots.   Georgia host LSU on Tuesday which is winnable game at home, but then a gauntlet which includes the red hot Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa next Saturday.

Kentucky slipped to #46 in Ken Pomeroy Rankings, and probably will slide even further after the rest of the slate plays out on Saturday.  This was as bad a loss as you can have as a bubble team.  Georgia came into the game ranked the 137th ranked team by Ken Pomeroy which is one key metrics used by the committee.    Kentucky was shooting 50% from three at half but ended the game with a 35% mark for the game.  Georgia made several key three's down the year and while 31% is good, not great, it was better than Georgia had been shooting from 3 in the last few weeks.

This season continues to show that Mike White has gotten on the tracks after several years of absolute irrelevance under Tom Crean.
