All-American Bowl Preview, Commitment Prediction

It's that time again. The holidays are over and the national championship game is about to be played. Early enrolle recruits are making their way to campuses across the nation to begin their college football journey. But before then, some of these recruits will get a chance to showcase their talents at the annual All-American Bowl. The game is tomorrow at 1pm on NBC and will put the east squad on the field against the west squad.

While each team is loaded with high profile recruits, it's also a chance for others to prove themselves against the best of the best. Georgia regularly has 5-10 signees in this game, but there is a slight difference this year. CJ Allen, AJ Harris, Jamaal Jarrett, and Lawson Luckie are all already in Athens. Five star Damon Wilson was also scheduled play in the game, but will not be participating. He is set to enroll early at UGA in the next few days.

That leaves the Dawgs with four signees who have been practicing this week leading up to tomorrow's game. All four have been holding their own against the best players in the nation, at times even dominating the competition in practice. Pearce Spurlin has been making catches all over the field, with the biggest being a grab over 5* Alabama signee Caleb Downs. Jordan Hall has been unblockable on the defensive line and will surely require a double team in the game, but that's not any different than his regular season. After missing all but a few games of his season due to injury, Kelton Smith has been showing out in the trenches this week. Monroe Freeling is holding his own and stopping elite pass rushers rep after rep.

Tomorrow's matchup is guaranteed to be an exciting game loaded with talent. Keep an eye out for the Dawgs!

19 - Pearce Spurlin
53 - Kelton Smith
78 - Monroe Freeling
99 - Jordan Hall

On top of the competition, there's always recruits stepping up to the table and making their commitment decisions made known to the rest of the world on national television. That is no different this year. With UGA's class being pretty much set, save a couple of tight ends signing in February, we won't have any prospects announcing for the current class. However, 2024 4* Peyton Woodring is scheduled to make his decision known and that is where the Dawgs come in. This will be the first announcement from an underclassmen at the All-American bowl, with Georgia in a good spot.

Even though Southern Cal is the in-state school for the St John Bosco star , UGA has been the team to beat for a while here. Ohio State was thought to be the main competition for a couple of months, with Oregon also trying to make a run at the 4* safety. Texas is the latest program to try and secure the commitment, but it looks like the Dawgs that still stand tall. It would be huge to start the weekend before the Natty with a big commitment and I'm putting in an "Official Dawgs Central Prediction" for that to happen. After all of the challenges from all of the big time programs, I have Woodyard choosing the Dawgs today!
