Monken is Gonna Monken

@Graham Coffeywrote about the run game in his 12 Takeaways yesterday.  And, I don't know what else to add, but I am sure that he and @Jon Tweets Sportswill have a breakdown on that aspect of the Georgia offense versus Mississippi State. But, while it is worthing recognizing that the MSU did absolutely sold out on the run, Georgia did score 38 non-garbage time points and saw key plays made by Jackson, Washington, Bowers, and McConkey.

Here is the offensive output from Saturday:

Okay, that doesn't look too bad. 6.8 Yards Per Play, and a "meh" 44% success rate.  Those were both second lowest of the season behind Tennessee game where the offense all but shut down in the 3rd Q by design.  But, if we take take out the McConkey TD run and the late Milton TD, it doesn't look so great.

Georgia was able to not only run pass plays to their playmakers, they got points out of it.  Georgia fans are used to big runs and back breaking drives, but this offense is just built different.  The rushing offense on the season has the highest success rate under Monken (54%), highest explosiveness (1.009), and highest EPA (.319).

I know. Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics.  But, it's worth noting that Georgia DID have two huge explosive runs that probably were set up on the fact that Stetson and Monken get the ball to their elite playmakers and they score points... and that is what Monken gets paid to do.   Let's enjoy it.  Monken is gonna Monken and this is ok by me.
