Weekly Recruiting Overview 10/3/22

Jason Brassell

Alright, Georgia had one of the biggest commitments in the 2023 cycle last week with Tyler Williams going public with his Commitment to the G. The 4* receiver committed to UGA over Miami, South Carolina, and plenty of others. He'll be a much needed addition to the receiver room in Athens, especially with him playing the receiver position for such a short time and his best football ahead of him.

Georgia will also have it's biggest recruiting weekend of the season with Auburn being the biggest home game we've had thus far. Expect multiple five stars from multiple classes to be in town for the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry. After making his way to town for the Kent State game and watching the game at Missouri, 2023 5* Edge Samuel M'Pemba will be back in Athens to see the Dawgs again. He won't be the only 2023 5* Edge in town, as Damon Wilson will take his official visit to UGA this weekend. Joining him on the official visit list is a prospect we've been telling you about for a while. UCLA running back commit Roderick Robinson will fly to Athens for his OV this wekend. Georgia is serious enough about the 2023 4* RB that Dell McGee went to visit him Friday night. The Dawgs would love nothing more than to flip the 6'1 230 pound bruiser. Speaking of running backs, 2023 4* in-state RB Jordan louie will also be in town for a visit. The Meadowcreek High standout is really coming on to the recruiting scene in a big way.

Kirby Smart and Todd Monken are also bringing in a couple of big time quarterbacks this weekend. Jadyn Davis is one of our top quarterback targets for the 2024 class. This will mark the third time the 5* has seen the Dawgs play this season. Joining him is 2024 4* QB Isaac Wilson, who is the brother of NY Jets quarterback Zach Wilson. Ryan Montgomery is also scheduled to make his way to Athens. The 2025 QB has an older brother (offensive lineman Luke Montgomery) committed to Ohio State in this year's class. There will be many more highly ranked prospects in town and we'll have you up to date on all of them.

There weren't any notable commitments in regards to UGA besides Tyler Williams. There also wasn't any notable decommitments to keep an eye on. Although there aren't any planned commitments scheduled involving Georgia, don't be surprised if Samuel M'Pemba is the next to pull the trigger........................and SOON!
