Two games into the season and plenty of elite prospects have made their way to Atlanta and Athens to see the Dawgs in person. Check out our visitor list for the Samford game HERE. It includes three 5* prospects - 2023 5* Edge Samuel M'Pemba, 2024 5* ATH KJ Bolden and 2024 5* CB Charles Lester. It also includes a big time receiver in Demitrius Bell, who recently decommitted from Michigan State. Of course Sanford Stadium will be empty Saturday, as the Dawgs hit the road to Columbia, South Carolina.

Of course the last commit for UGA was Monroe Freeling on August 29th. The only other commitment with ties to Georgia was TJ Shanahan finally pulling the trigger to Texas aTm on September 7th. He was a top Dawg target for a bit. There are three commitments coming up in the next week or two that will interest recruitniks.

All three are receivers and UGA has held the lead for all three at one point or another. 2023 4* receiver Jalen Hale is scheduled to commit on September 21st. It looks like he is down to Texas and Alabama. UGA was thought to be his leader early in the summer, especially when we thought we were getting Arch Manning. I still believe he goes with Manning and chooses Texas, but you can never count out Alabama in these recruitments. This is especially true when you see how their receivers have struggled so far this season.

The second top receiver target to commit in late September will be 2023 5* WR Hykeem Williams on September 23rd. This looked like a UGA vs Texas aTm battle for a while, with the leader switching back and forth multiple times. The momentum that Georgia had has all but faded up to this point, while Florida State is making a big run at the talented receiver. aTm has been the mainstay here, but Pitt should be taken seriously as well. I'm going to guess that he picks the Aggies on the 23rd, but end up signing elsewhere on early signing day.

Finally we have what we predict to be good news for the Dawgs. 2023 4* receiver Tyler Williams is scheduled to commit on September 27th. Georgia has been the team to beat by a wide margin for the good part of 4-5 months, with Texas aTm thought to be the main competition. He just visited Miami and the Hurricanes are trying to make a serious run at the explosive receiver. In the end, I believe this will be Joenel Aguero 2.0 and the Dawgs will get a good one!

Check out our latest QUICK HITTERS post to find out who I think will flip to UGA, a 2023 RB to keep an eye on, a Georgia commit visiting elsewhere this weekend, and more.
