Georgia right guard Tate Ratledge will miss time with a knee and ankle injury, but he avoided serious long-term injury and should make a return at some point this season.

Ratledge went down in the second quarter of the 13-12 win over Kentucky, suffering a sprained MCL and ankle sprain.

On the bright side, Ratledge should return this season, most likely for Florida on Nov. 2, albeit subject to change. Additionally, with a bye this week, Kirby Smart will have an increased window of time to work on replacing him.

In his absence in the second half at Kentucky, Micah Morris stepped up at guard alongside Dylan Fairchild. However, Georgia could also move Xavier Truss inside to guard, having been at right tackle this season, and use Monroe Freeling on the outside.

While it is not ideal to be missing an integral piece of the offensive line for the team's two biggest matchups of the year at Alabama and Texas, Georgia will at least be getting Ratledge back for the end of the regular season and beyond.
