Ny is the definition of a quarterback’s best friend. On multiple occasions throughout Ny’s film did Colquitt County’s QB choose a more covered Ny Carr instead of throwing to other open receivers. I would say that Carr’s biggest strength is his ball tracking ability and it shows several times on his Hudl clips. He has excellent hands and regularly comes down with 50/50 balls, that being another testament to the trust he has with his quarterback.
Ny plays at the highest level of Georgia high school football (7A) at one of the more accomplished high school programs in the state, meaning that he is regularly running against guys that will be playing at the next level. He shows great speed and YAC ability after the catch, and he also is a standout for the Colquitt track team and basketball team. He regularly lines up in the slot and out wide, offering a variety of services for his offense. They love to throw him deep balls against man coverage, but he also has a good grip on the entire route tree and is consistently able to find soft spots in zone coverage.
My only critiques of Ny are that he is not completely polished as a route runner and often relies on his speed to beat man coverage. Another very minor issue with his film is the lack of run blocking clips, but if Georgia does anything at all with talented receivers, it is making them elite perimeter blockers.
