UGA Recruiting - Weekly Review

The second week in July proved to be a big one for the Georgia Bulldogs. There have been over 100 commitments so far in the month and the Dawgs have been a big part of it. While there was only one added to the 2023 commit list this past week, it was a very important piece to the puzzle. On the 10th, Raylen Wilson did what everyone was expecting and Committed to the G! Official Dawgs Central Prediction/Player Eval for 4* Linebacker Troy Bowles

The University of Georgia just put three linebackers in the NFL draft this year. The trio of Quay Walker (Round 1, Pick 22), Nakobe Dean (Round 3, Pick 83), and Channing Tindall (Round 3, Pick 102) might just be the best to come out of Athens in the same year. Azeez Ojulari (Round 2, Pick 50) and Monty Rice (Round 3, Pick 92) were big picks for UGA in 2021. Tae Crowder was Mr Irrelevent in as the 255th pick in the seventh round in 2020. Dawgs Central Prediction - Dawgs Will Get Big Man in the MIddle

As everyone is well aware, one of the keys to UGA's historic defense last season was Jordan Davis. His 6'6 340 pound frame took multiple offensive linemen to block, freeing up those around him. This summer has been smoking hot for The University of Georgia. The Dawgs saw hundreds of prospects from across the country make their way to Athens in the month of June. Dawgs Add a Big Piece to the Puzzle

July is turning into the biggest recruiting month of the year, as commitments are pouring in for most of the top college football programs across the country. This is after thousands of prospects flocked to campuses for official visits in June. Dawgs Central Prediction - Georgia Will Add Another DB

A couple of months ago Justyn Rhett decommitted from Notre Dame while on a visit to UGA. Not long after that, he was officially a Dawg. He was the only DB on the current commit list up until June 16th, when AJ Harris jumped on board. Georgia previously had in-state DB Kain Lee committed, but he's been off the board for a while and recently committed to Ohio State. Look for the Dawgs to take 5 total in the secondary. Arch Manning to Texas - What Now for UGA? (Plus a Little Butthurt)

Well, there it is. Four days after taking his official visit to Austin, Arch Manning committed to the Texas. This should come as no surprise, as the Longhorns have always been a very serious player in his recruitment. Star Studded Group of Official Visitors Headed to Athens This Weekend

While each group that makes their way to the Classic City every weekend is special, this weekend will be a five syar event! Snagging a couple of guys from this weekend would almost guarantee a top 1-3 recruiting finish for the 2023 class. What We're Hearing on June 10th Official Visitors

One thing I have learned is a lot of recruiting followers don't necessarily care to read a lot of fluff in an article. They just want to know who was here and who we're getting. UGA Official Visitors for June 10th Weekend

Round 2 Set to Begin. Last week was one of the biggest, if not the biggest recruiting weekend ever for UGA. One thing I was told: if we get who we think we're getting from last weekend, we just won ourselves another national championship. While this weekend won't be as star studded (how can it be with Arch Manning headlining last weekend), it will still be loaded with talent. Georga is starting the summer off with a bang with an absolutely huge recruiting weekend that will help shape this year's recruiting class. There are 7 prospects that FSF has predicted to UGA with medium confidence. Meaning that someone we trust on the UGA side of things has heard very good things about our chances. 1. 2023 Prospects Predicted to UGA - Low Confidence Level

There are three prospects that we at Field Street Forum have predicted to UGA with a low confidence level. 1. Monroe Freeling - I will always be transparent with you guys on how I feel about a recruit and why. I will tell you if I have heard something straight from one of my guys myself, If I heard it from a another one of the DawgsCentral guys who was told something, or if I'm just straight up reading tea leaves. Under Kirby Smart, I don't expect UGA to be out of the top 3-5 recruiting classes..........well, EVER. The guy is a recruiting machine and with the exception of the no visit covid year, you can expect him to be top 1-3 year after year.
